Welcome to Pillars - operated by Political Pillars Inc. (“Pillars,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pillars mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Use of Pillars
By accessing or using Pillars, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
Pillars is an educational and informational tool. We are not a government agency, and our content does not constitute official government communication, legal advice, or endorsement of any candidate or party.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Pillars. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the consent of a parent or guardian. By using Pillars, you represent that you meet these requirements.

When using Pillars, you agree to:

All materials on Pillars — including text, graphics, logos, icons, designs, code, and data compilations — are the intellectual property of Political Pillars Inc. or its licensors, protected under U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, nonexclusive, revocable license to access and use Pillars for personal, noncommercial use only. You may not reproduce, sell, or exploit the Services or their content without written permission.
6. User Content
You may interact with Pillars by tracking bills, following politicians, bookmarking items, sharing achievements, submitting feedback, and inviting others through referral links. By submitting or sharing content, you grant Pillars a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and analyze that content to operate and improve the Services. You retain ownership of any content you submit, but you are solely responsible for ensuring it does not infringe on any third-party rights or laws.
7. Information Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy and reliability, Pillars cannot guarantee that all information is current or error-free. Data may be sourced from public APIs, government databases, and third-party providers. You acknowledge that: Legislative and political information may change over time; Some summaries are AI-generated and may contain minor inaccuracies; and You should verify official details from authoritative government sources before taking action. Pillars disclaims all liability for reliance on any information provided through the Services.
8. Third-Party Links
Pillars may contain links to external websites, such as official government sites or civic organizations. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of these third-party sites. Following a third-party link is at your own discretion and risk.
9. Privacy
Your use of Pillars is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Pillars, you consent to our data practices as described there.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DATA ACCURACY. PILLARS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POLITICAL PILLARS INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR USE — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF SUCH POSSIBILITY. Our total liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed $100 USD.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Political Pillars Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Pillars at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the Services immediately ceases.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
